Spearfish Labs is a London based communications and social media company run by Ed Hartigan – that’s me on the left – Hi.
Spearfish Labs was formed in early 2010. We are a new company but have over 8 years experience in emerging technology and social media. We have experience in building and developing niche, digital communities using all types of social technologies and in monetising and marketing those communities to customers, members and commercial partners.
We believe that social media should never be completely outsourced to an agency or consultant. The real value is when intelligent and motivated staff are given the freedom to open up areas of the business to the customers and talk to them on a regular basis. So, with (nearly) all our services will need you to be involved. The good news is we will remove as much pain as possible and provide some real value along the way.

I’m working with Spearfish Labs as a consultant after working in sport event management and sponsorship for over 7 years. Events I have worked on include the World Snooker Championships, Italian Ladies Golf, Masters Snooker, Cricket Internationals, World Badminton Championships and World Rowing Championships. In Jan 2010 I set up the successful sports blog www.theuksportsnetwork.com which brings together influential sports industry figures to contribute their expert opinions.
